Alessandra has already made clear that she is not "imposing" a solution
on anyone.

I might agree with you if R-GMA was mission critical; it isn't.
Shutting it down until a security review has taken place, the bugs have
been identified and fixed, and a tried and tested solution has been
circulated is no-brainer.
