Haven't seen it myself - but then I've not looked for it!
Glancing at the libraries used by lcg-cp, it uses the globus gridftp client,
just like globus-url-copy. I suspect that setting $nstreams=1 is the correct
thing to do - this should trigger a passive mode transfer.
Trying to do a copy with >1 streams does not work in passive mode, so it
forces an active type transfer instead - which will fail behind NAT (also the
situation for WNs at Glasgow, so feel free to toss us a job to test this
out).
Did you explicitly set $nstreams>1?
