Ministers to review red tape for nuclear plants

Ministers are to consider industry proposals for dismantling regulatory
hurdles to new nuclear power stations as part of the forthcoming energy
review.
Alan Johnson, trade and industry secretary, yesterday outlined a number
of practical steps to ease bureaucracy were the government to back a new
fleet of nuclear reactors to replace ageing plants.
