Dear Colleagues
CyMAL is organising a one-day "Introduction to Oral History" workshop at
Chirk Castle on Friday 25th November. We have a few places available; if
anyone is interested in attending please contact Tom Cosson at
[log in to unmask] or (01970) 610229. The day is free of charge and
lunch and refreshments will be provided.
The workshop will be led by Ken Howarth and will give an introduction to the
subject, its application in museums and historic properties and some
background information on copyright and ethical issues. Attendees will then
have the opportunity to plan and record their own practice interviews.
Advice and guidance on equipment will also be provided.
