A One-Day Symposium

The study of the emotional dynamics of work has become increasingly
prominent within organisation and management studies. The importance of
recognising and evaluating the consequences of affectivity within the
workplace is now widely accepted and a body of literature has been
produced around such diverse concerns as organisational change, customer
service/interaction, management decision-making, branding and corporate
identity.
This one-day symposium, sponsored by the International Journal of Work,
Organisation and Emotion and The Warwick Organisation Theory Network aims
to bring a range of researchers and scholars together to discuss current
research in the field and to debate and evaluate future directions
The day will consist of a series of short papers, followed in the
afternoon by an interactive panel discussion.
