From a follow on from my last email, then I thought I would empower everyone
to inform them of what is the Local Agenda 21 principles - what is it? and
how does it impact on disabled people in their local communities in the UK
and global world as agreed within the UN: See link:-
http://www.lbhf.gov.uk/external/la21/agenda21.htm

http://www2.staffordshire.gov.uk/sustainablestaffordshire/la21/ag21loca.htm
This is how they promote the Local Agenda 21 principles in Swindon and
Wiltshire towards disabled people. This is coming from a local Council in
the UK, who had a Tory Councilor, who wanted all disabled children
'guillotined' on 'economic grounds'. See link:-
http://www.steps-to-learning.org.uk/links/disability_gen.htm.
How many of these groups in Swindon and Wilshire are disabled people
'user-led' organisations?
What the state of play where you live within your local communities in the
public bodies funding disabled 'user-led' organisations, under Local Agenda
21 principles. Is the funding still going into the pockets of the mainstream
charities that don't represent our voices?
Why doing research on this issue I came across this Political statement from
John Ried, Health Minister around 'Adult Social Care', off the ePolitix
website. Is Mr Reid and other Ministers really living in the 'same-world' of
us disabled people? Do they understand the 'reality-of-inclusion' for many
disabled people in the UK that are being forced into 'institutions' and not
given these 'informed-choices' for 'independent-living' has he promised us
within his 'rhetoric':-

When are Politicians going to stop 'burying the heads in the sand' and stop
promising us the 'golden-pots', that they never deliver to us, because these
promises are not 'golden', but are made of 'glass', which we all know are
easily broken, due them being 'fragile'.
