2006 GENERAL CALL FOR PAPERS*** Chicago, March 7-11, 2006
Dear AAG meeting participants:
In preparation to the AAG meeting in Denver, the RCEEE specialty group
will, as previously, organize and sponsor sessions. Please find the
details below.
This year we plan to make a big effort to increase student participation
in specialty group scholarship. The announcement of the student paper
competitions will be circulated shortly. Meanwhile we ask all the group
members to PLEASE encourage the students to attend the meeting and
present in our sessions. Please forward this information to interested
colleagues - both professors and students.
Presenting in the sessions organized by RCEEE SG

If you would like to present a paper in a session organized by our
specialty group, please submit the abstract at the AAG registration
website
(www.aag.org) and then send your PIN number, your name, affiliation,
email address, paper title and paper abstract to Marianna Pavlovskaya
([log in to unmask]) by October 1, 2005. Please use the same format
as required by the AAG. I will group papers into sessions according to
their topics.
RCEEE SG includes scholars doing research in many different areas of
geography. In addition, I would like to encourage submissions on the
topics listed below (of course, all other submissions are welcome). I
will circulate more specific calls for papers for these topics soon:

Challenging neo-liberalism in post-socialism Geographies of gender and
sexuality in post-socialism Post-Soviet and post-socialism cultural
geographies

Your initiative in organizing sessions relevant to our specialty group
is more than welcome. We can assist you in two ways.
First, we would gladly circulate your calls for papers on our listserve.
You can submit postings yourself after logging on to the AAG website and
proceeding to RCEEE group forum or please forward them to me
([log in to unmask]) and I will post them for you.
Second, we would gladly sponsor the sessions you organized. In order add
our sponsorship to your session, please request approval from me. To do
so, please email to me the complete session information as submitted to
the AAG registration website including the session title, organizer,
chair, participants, and abstracts.
