Poster presentations Submissions are invited for the GRAPHITE 2005
Conference Posters' Display.
Posters are short papers presented as a printed poster and displayed during
the conference. They can be on any subject related to the conference themes
including an expanded explanation of Digital Art work.
Conference themes include:
Effective user interfaces
Interactive installations
Image based rendering
Haptics
Modeling techniques
Rendering techniques
Sound rendering
Real time graphics
Virtual and augmented reality
Visualisation
3D Computer animation
Cultural heritage applications
Computer art
Digital games
Interactive digital media
Web 3D and applications
Posters are ideal for display of:
* very new work
* work in progress
* work that does not fit into standard categories
* small improvements on existing techniques
* latest results produced since other deadlines passed
* work of interest to specialised groups
* undergraduate student project work
* testing of a published result
At scheduled times during the conference we ask poster presenters to be
available at their posters for further discussion with delegates. A
version of tThe posters will also be published in the conference CD ROM
How to submit a poster.
1 Create a usercode at the conference submission site:
http://graphite05.otago.ac.nz
2 Follow the link to Submit Contribution and fill out the form.
3 Upload your poster in pdf format.
If accepted, bring your poster to the conference and mount it in the
Poster area as directed.
Format of Posters
The space allowed for a Poster is 840mm x 1188mm, (A0 size). We prefer
posters to be printed as one sheet but we can accept a collage version.
The pdf version will be what appears on the CD ROM. This should be no
more than 2Mb. We recommend including a URL for any additional material.
Since we are encouraging originality in presentation, There is no
standard format outside these guidelines. The finished poster must,
however include:
A title
Names and affiliation of all authors
e-mail for at least one author
Selection of Posters
Selection will be done by a small committee of GRAPHITE chairs. As far
as possible, we aim to include all work of a sufficient standard rather
than operate competitively. So please don't wait for the deadline to
submit. Good work submitted early will be judged as it comes in. We aim
to notify acceptance or rejection within a week of submission.
Posters submissions within the last week up to the deadline will be held
back and the final acceptances and rejections all sent out together on or
about 20 October.
