Dear Members
- Apologies for cross-postings -
1. ALT-C 2005
1.1 We've all returned from a great conference - our second largest
to date - in Manchester. It was good to meet so many of you (if only
briefly in my case) and to see new friendships being forged across
the community.
1.2 The ALT-C 2005 web site has been updated with slides used by
Carol Twigg and Etienne Wenger (including a link to Stephen Downes'
blog about Wenger's talk):

http://www.alt.ac.uk/altc2005/keynotes.html#etienne
1.3 If you were there and haven't done so already, please complete
and return the evaluation form so we can use your views to plan for
next year. All completed forms will be entered for a draw for a book
token. A pdf version can be found at (short URL):
http://tinyurl.com/7ulpj
- or at the full URL:

C2005_delegate_evaluation_form.pdf
1.4 Presenters can now upload their presentation files (one file, max
4MB) by logging in at
https://www.alt.ac.uk/pss/index.php?command=sign-in
You must be the original submitter to do this (contact us if you have
any difficulty).
1.5 Read what some of the bloggers said about ALT-C 2005 from here
(thanks to Josie Fraser):

2. ALT-C 2006
2.1 The web site is now live - http://www.alt.ac.ukaltc2006 - with
initial details for next year. If you already want to know what
formats the sessions will take, go to the page for ALT-C 2005 here:
http://www.alt.ac.uk/altc2005/papers.html
- is it likely that we will follow similar formats, but watch out for
more information on this later in the year.
2.2 An early warning: ALT-C 2006 follows hard on the heels of the
Edinburgh Festival. You will need to book early, especially if you
want accommodation! Watch this space for more details.
Best wishes
Rhonda
