Dear Paul and everyone on both lists
Firstly, apologies for cross posting to both lists but hopefully you agree
that the subject matter warrants it.
I would like to endorse Paul's call for a statement or series of statements
challenging Richard Lynn's work and would be happy for my name to included.
Following Paul's email I visited Richard Lynn's homepage at
http://www.rlynn.co.uk/ to find out more about his assertions and am
horrified at what I read. This home page provides a summary of his work and
beliefs and a list of his publications.
I believe we have an obligation to publicly challenge this type of misuse of
psychology - especially as the "sensational" nature of his claims ensures
that he attracts the attention of the daily press.
Once the forthcoming paper is published perhaps individuals and/or the group
could submit responses to British Journal of Psychology, challenging the
"science" he uses and challenging the inclusion of his work in the Journal.
In addition, responses could be made to the wider public reporting of his
work.
Cheers
Anne
I am a Western Australian
