Hello fellow Sidney and Spenser fans,
I am writing to solicit abstracts for a special session entitled "Conscious
Manipulations: Shakespeare and Medieval Dramatic Convention," to be held as
part of the 41st International Congress on Medieval Studies, May 4-7, 2006,
in Kalamazoo, MI. I hope to attract papers concerned with the evolution of
drama in its social, economic, material, and religious contexts (others that
I've missed?) and interrogating Shakespeare's nuanced usage of traditional
dramatic forms, tropes, structures of authority, representations of the
divine, etc.
Please see the Congress website for conference details:

Please note the special abstract cover sheet that must be submitted with
your abstract:

The deadline for abstract submissions (300 words) is September 15, 2005.
Please send your submission via email to me at: [log in to unmask],
