Hi Graeme, you will be aware of some of this already.
I downloaded the rpm that contains the broken dynamic info script
(writen in perl), from
http://cern.ch/grid-deployment/RpmDir_i386-sl3/external/lcg-info-dynamic-dpm-1.3.3-1.noarch.rpm
Once installed it creates the /opt/lcg/libexec/lcg-info-dynamic-dpm file.
It is quite easy to interperet.
It takes as an argument the dpns (supported VOs) home directories
So to run it (at Edinburgh) -
/opt/lcg/libexec/lcg-info-dynamic-dpm
/opt/lcg/var/gip/lcg-info-generic.conf
atlas:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/atlas
alice:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/alice
lhcb:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/lhcb
cms:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/cms
dteam:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/dteam
sixt:/storage:/dpm/epcc.ed.ac.uk/home/sixt
which is exactly the contents of
/opt/lcg/libexec/lcg-info-dynamic-se
So I take it this "se" script is called regularly to update the dynamic
info.
It also does a dpm-qryconf command to yield the capacities of the pools.
I played around with some of the code.
The problem is although I can 'system out' the total storage I dont know
if its meant to go out to a file somewhere and if there is a additional
content required in that file.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Jamie.
