HEALTH GEOGRAPHER
The Department of Geography at Simon Fraser University invites applications
for a tenure-track faculty appointment in the field of Human
Geography. Our priority is for a candidate with interests in the
socio-spatial inequalities of health at local, national and/or
international scales.
The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin
September 1, 2006. Applicants must have completed a PhD by the time of
appointment and should demonstrate a clear promise of excellence in
research as well as effectiveness in teaching at undergraduate and graduate
levels. In addition to their area of specialty, the successful candidate
also will be expected to instruct in other courses in the Geography
Program. The appointee will be responsible for establishing an externally
funded research program.
