For those who support atlas they are requesting that
XFree86-devel
be installed on batch workers.

Dear ROLLOUT,
Some ATLAS analysis jobs, for some reason, needs libX11.a to be installed in the Worker Nodes (this by the way was also the case for last the GEANT4 production). This comes with the devel package of XFree86. It has been noticed that the library is not installed in all sites where ATLAS runs jobs. Even if this can not really be seen as a long term solution, for the short timescale, would it be possible for sites supporting the ATLAS VO to install the mentioned package. This would avoid many job failures and would simplify the life of several ATLAS physicists who are trying to analyze events produced for the Rome Physics Workshop.
