The notion of an (imagined) Jewish lobby has of course nothing to do with anti-semitism and Adolf Hitler loved the Jews...

the issue of boycotting Israeli universities for complicity in the policies of their government
So the University of East Anglia is responsible for the British invasion of the Iraq (among other things)? I still think that there are intelligetn colleaugues at the East Anglia University with whom I love to collaborate in the future and whom I do not hold responsible for Mr Seddon's stupidities or the Iraq war.
This goes beyond bad social sciences and blunt anti-semitism; this has to do with a lack of logic. This is always the problem with prejudices: Reason is overshaddowed...
Sad to see "colleagues" of this sort. Uncurable...

This has absolutely nothing to do with anit-semitism and a lot to do with the
policies of a particular government. Mr Pohoryles should know the difference.
His bizarre idea to link the bombings on the London transport system with the
issue of boycotting Israeli universities for complicity in the policies of
their government is just that - bizarre.
The decision of the AUT was not 'by surprise' - it was a motion put quite
properly to the AUT Council and agreed at the meerting. It was only
afterwards, following intensive lobbying that it was overturned. Fine - thats
democracy. And we all know the British do not rule Europe - what a quaint
idea. But the boycott campaign will undoubtedly continue.
I suggest that colleagues consider the issues involved a little more sensibly
than does Mr Pohoryles.

DESPITE THE UNACCEPTABLE KILLING OF INNOCENT PASSENGERS IN THE METRO... NOR
WILL I ACCUSE MUSLIM COMMUNITIES FOR THE SUICIDE ATTACK. SOME PEOPLE SHOULD
LEARN THEIR SOCIAL SCIENCES A BIT BETTER.

GOOD REASONS. AND THE BRITISH SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THEY DON'T RULE EUROPE.
