Hi,
I have a question to clarify matters to do with Rate fitting in Analysis.
When you set an error for an experimental series condition point in
Data analysis -> Rate analysis -> Edit Exp. Series,
which values is the error of ? Assuming I have chosen _Time_ as the
variable, is it going to be the error of the _Time_ variable or of the
evaluated intensity for each peak at that Condition Point?
If it is in Intensity than please disregard the rest of the e-mail.
If I remember previous discussion correctly it is of the Time, which is
not really very convenient for the Relaxation series.
Typically much larger errors are made in evaluation of the intensity at
each point and, to make the error of the fit meaningful, that ought to be
taken into account.
I normally compare intensity of the two spectra recorded with the
same time delay, and use average of all differences in peaks'
intensities to set an error for each spectrum/time point (so have one
error for each Condition Point). I think this is the most common way
people treat the data.
To make it work we either need to be able to enter errors in
both Time and Intensity at each Condition Point or just in
Intensity.
Cheers
Krystyna
