As a public body, anyone can ask to see just how well we're protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. Our Information Management team is on-hand to ensure everyone across our business is aware of how to comply with the Data Protection Act, the Public Records Act and the Freedom of Information Act, and supports the sharing of information to help us get on with what we do best - looking after the environment.
Records Policy Advisor
You'll oversee and advise on the use of record management policies and procedures, which show the life-cycle from creation to deletion - keeping us efficient and legally in the right - to selecting and transferring important historical records for future use. You'll advise, explain and support where needed, auditing and setting standards as you go. Ideally, you'll have a records management qualification and at least two years' experience in government or the private sector, preferably working on a large scale. For an informal chat contact Jayne Pucknell on 01454 284427. Ref:EP00132
Data Protection Policy Advisor
You'll support the Data Protection Manager in rolling out policies and procedures, undertake audits to ensure we're complying with the Data Protection Act and other areas of information law, and respond to a proportion of the requests we receive from individuals for access to their data. You'll be influencing and liasing at every level internally and externally, often interpreting legislation for people with no knowledge of the subject. Ideally, you'll have at least 2 years' practical experience in a data protection environment either in the public or private sector. For an informal chat contact Sandra Cavill on 01454 284421. Ref: EP00133
