i'm sure there are a few others besides the Sens and Canterbury examples i
mentioned earlier, but can't think of them either.

curious, *all* the capitals of those double columns there seem to have been
defaced.
i don't think i've ever seen that anywhere before.
surely they did not have any narrative scenes which might have been offensive
to some over-zelous prelate?
but why bother to deface simple folliage?
