The latest issue of the British Medical Journal (vol. 330 25 June 2005 pp
1471-4) contains the following paper:
S Kinra et al 'Evacuation decisions in a chemical air pollution incident:
cross sectional survey'. This gives results of a study that compared
health outcomes in sheltered and evacuated populations after a chemical
incident in a plastics factory in the UK. It concludes that sheltering may
have been a better protection than evacuation in this incident.
