I agree, it can be easier for informaiton to be sent to peoples inboxes
directly. The phpBB2 message board system also allows for mail outs to be
sent to all users (which can be done on various time scales - daily /
weekly/ monthly etc...) listing all topics on the board, which gets
emailed to every member, whom can then simply click on the relevant
hyperlink to view the information.
