Introductory workshop to the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing
Date: 5 July 2005
Organised by: ESDS Longitudinal
Location: Royal Statistical Society, London
There are still places available at this workshop, on 5 July 2005. The
workshop is designed for researchers who are considering using data
from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) in their work.
It will introduce the ELSA wave 1 datasets and show how the data can
be used to answer multi-disciplinary and, in time, longitudinal questions.
Issues to be covered will include: themes and content covered by the survey;
survey design, non-response and weighting of the ELSA sample; accessing
ELSA via the ESDS; the data and documentation that are available;
and examples of findings based on the ELSA data.
