SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENT
The School of Environment has recently been designated as a Centre for
Excellence in Teaching and Learning by HEFCE. The Centre for Active
Learning (CeAL) will be an international centre of excellence reviewing,
developing, promoting and embedding inclusive and exemplary active learning
for students in geography, environment and related disciplines, including
biology, landscape architecture, community development and heritage
management. These posts offer highly motivated individuals exciting
opportunities to join an enthusiastic team of academic and professional
staff based at the Francis Close Hall campus in Cheltenham.
Lecturers/Senior Lecturers Ref: A116
Lecturer scale: £23,643 - £29,749 Senior Lecturer scale: £27,390 - £36,428
Three posts within any of the academic subject areas delivered by the
School. Candidates must be enthusiastic about Higher Education teaching and
related activities, and willing to assist the further development of CeAL.

Salary Range: Researcher A: £12,887 - £17,601 plus research Degree tuition
fees
Five fixed-term appointments involving undertaking guided research and
development of Higher Education teaching materials, with some direct
support of academic staff and student learning. Appointees will register
for part-time research degrees (MA/MSc/MPhil/PhD) in topics broadly related
to teaching and learning in the range of disciplines offered by the School.

Providing support to staff and students in developing and delivering e-
