I haven't researched dress specifically, but I am reading the Ordnance
Survey memoirs from the early 19th century. Some of the parishes do include
sections on dress. I have come across mentions of the Catholic women not
wearing bonnets. There is also discussion of shawls, which most of the
rural women wear.
