Well RAL is working towards supporting biomed (might have been done
already) and Jeremy has been encouraging GridPP sites to support non-pp
VOs as well. The 0.5% allocation should mean they don't get much when
you are busy but can soak up spare resources. There are recipes for
setting up Maui etc to deliver the shares that your site wants. I have
seen them mentioned on this list.
I think it is important to do this now so that the PP community look
like good grid citizens encouraging sharing and collaboration. In
another year or so when all our resources are running flat out it will
be too late and there will be less chance that other people will share
with us if we don't share when we have an excess of resources.
