I am amazed at the florry of enthusiasms :)...
I think we should go for the UCL one in June..
I can offer to host one at the BCS in London but as chair of the developing
countries specialist group, we need to be considering in some sense and
shape the issue of social inclusion, cultural diversity, sustainable
development, but imho these are all really important concepts anyhow
And in the world of happy slapping, I'm fascinated at the knowledge base
which informs government policy;
But having just finished three hours with my MSc students on taxonomies and
metadata, I'm feeling a bit happly slapped myself
Do we need an agenda for the June 23 meeting, or do we simply have a round
table and tell stories?
Quite happy to have demos with free wine too :)
Incidently, if people don't know it, jiscmail lists allow you to do digests,
should you be receiving me too messages from too many
I was at the civil society consultation meeting for the world summit on the
information society in manchester yesterday... Taxonomies as international
public goods was part of the first phase debate, so there is something to
report... Cilip was well represented, not so any of the other professional
groups which should have an interest
