Vacancies for two archivists – Heritage Hub, Hawick, Scottish Borders
There are two vacancies for archivists to contribute to the new Scottish
Borders Archive and Local and Family History Centre – known as the Heritage
Hub.The Heritage Hub is part of the larger Heart of Hawick cultural and
regeneration project and is supported by substantial grants from the
Heritage Lottery Fund and European Union Structural Funds Programme.
Archive Manager £23,739 - £30,288 Hawick
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the plans for the
Heritage Hub including managing the work of the project team and developing
the potential audience base. Once the Heritage Hub is open you will be
responsible for the management and development of the building, staff and
access to the collections, for the preservation and security of all archive
and local history materials.
You must be educated to degree level, have a Diploma in Archive
Administration and be a Member of the Society of Archivists. A minimum of
three years archive experience and proven project management experience is
essential. Closing date 3 May 2005
Archivist £20,808 - £23,034 Temporary until 30 April 2009 Hawick
You will assist the Archive Manager and be particularly responsible for the
day to day supervision of the remainder of the project team.
You will be educated to degree level and have a minimum of two years
archive experience.Closing date 3 May 2005
