I can't see any connection but there is one mention in
the Works of 'Ticehurst Will', a character in "Hal o'
the Draft" (Puck of Pook's Hill). I have searched the
Journal back numbers but only found Ticehurst
mentioned in reference to "Hal o' the Draft" and a
speculation in No.47 (Oct 1938) about Burners Hill,
Ticehurst in relation to the carbonisation in "Mrs
Bathurst".
Since Ticehurst is only about 5 miles north of
Burwash, I suppose it is always possible that RK
bought the house for use by an employee or a friend.
