If that is the case, how can our leaders continue to put forward this model
of medical staffing, shouldn't we be trying, as a specialty, to come up with
a more realistic/realisable pattern of staffing.

But that's precisely the point Andy, the business case has to be realistic and achievable and these recommendations are unlikely to be so locally and certainly not nationally. Yes, it shows we are understaffed but the solution...?

Actually, we did manage to get money for more nurses and nurse practitioners.
