Didn't Sony recently recant and permit saving to mp3 and other common
formats? If you can get your data into mp3 (or wav, aiff, etc.) then
you can use programs like transana, or TAMS Analyzer (OS X) to
transcribe. TA has keyboard controls to stop-auto backspace which makes
things much easier.
