Hi Roel,
Delighted (though amazed) to see that someone has produced a book on Eve's
Film Review in Germany. We do plan to have a full listing of Eve's Film
Review on the BUND as part of our ongoing cinemagazines project.
She's not around this week, but Linda Kaye, our Senior Researcher, is a
German speaker, and given that she's leading research into cinemagazines,
she would be an ideal candidate for you. Contact her through

Subject: Eve's film review
Hello,
A German scholar recently published the book version of her PhD on the
British screen magazine Eve's Film Review.
Nicola Gölzhäuser-Newman, EVE'S FILM REVIEW. GENRE UND GENDER IM BRITISCHEN
SCREEN MAGAZINE IN DER 1920er JAHRE. Published by Verlag Karl Stutz in
Passau, 2004, ISBN 3-88849-251-3, 285 p.
As book review editor (continental Europe) for the "Historical Journal of
Film, Radio and Television", I am looking for someone familiar with the
history of British newsreels who masters the German language and is
interested in writing a review of this book for our journal. I will of
course provide a review copy and would need this review by the end of May.
If any subscriber to this list is interested, please contact me at

Yours sincerely,
