Norman,
I do think that there should be an overall section on the build
requirements for the docs. Noting that Latex is not installed by default
on Linux systems, never mined the others.
Steve.

Subject: Per-platform build notes
All,
In service of the last two smallish items on my actions list, I've
broken out a wiki page on the build system, at
<http://wiki.starlink.ac.uk/twiki/bin/view/Starlink/BuildSystem>, which
contains in the first place notes about building on particular
platforms, and secondly a place for me (and anyone else!) to put notes
on migrating from mk-based builds. I've added notes for building on OS
X, Solaris and Tru64, which match the compiler specifications I can see
Steve doing in the various nightly-build logfiles -- I don't think
there are others: can anyone recall any?
I thought there was something in Al's minutes about what the problems
might be when migrating from a mk-based system, but I can't find them
there now I come to look for them. Does anyone remember what these
were -- none spring to mind. I remember either David or Peter
suggesting at least one or two.
With that done, next comes.... yes, that!
See you,
Norman
