[Sorry: JISCmail seems to be taking a firm line against the Quinns and
Herrons today. This just in from Thomas. -az.]
Hello -- Shakespeare quite commonly uses feminine endings; indeed their
detection is one main method used by Brian Vickers et. al. to distinguish
Shakespeare's authorship from that of Peele, etc. in their "collaborative"
projects.
Best wishes, Thomas Herron
ps. I should add to my last message that Vincent Carey (SUNY-Plattsburgh)
has also recently put out a biography of the "Wizard Earl" of Kildare,
Spenser's contemporary, with Four Courts Press. It has much of value on
Sidney and Stanyhurst, for example.
