Based at Fort Cumberland, Portsmouth
The Archaeological Archives Team provides leadership in the strategic
development of archaeological archives and information management within
English Heritage. It is also responsible for the wider provision of advice,
dissemination and standards. Archaeological archives include artefactual and
ecofactual collections, documentary material, and digital data.
You will provide a full archaeological archives and information management
service for relevant English Heritage projects and programmes. You will
develop and implement methodological, technical and academic programmes and
projects in all aspects of archaeological archives, with particular emphasis
on the development of digital preservation and dissemination techniques.
