Lincoln Journal Star
Ruling: City owes thousands in unpaid wages
By BUTCH MABIN / Lincoln Journal Star
Maybe its all those years he spent as a white-collar crime detective.
Or maybe Marlin Rauscher was just born that way. Whatever the cause,
the retired Lincoln detective's keen appreciation for written records —
and penchant for holding onto them — served him well with the Nebraska
Supreme Court this month.
Thanks largely to decades-old pay stubs and a city personnel director's
1975 memorandum, the court ruled Feb. 4 the city owed Rauscher $2,685
in unpaid wages.
