Thanks for the reply Doug.
I used the above header so it would get your attention... That's why I
apologised for its use.
I chose not to write about the sins of the individual concerned as to give
him the opportunity to come clean.
If I had placed the sins in question open.... I would have been accused of
causing trouble. Its a catch 22 situation.
I find it very frustrating that I cant seem to express myself in the way
that I would like too.
My views don't come across very well in writing. I am really trying to be
of help... But just keep getting knocked back.
Many people have been accused on this list of many things and also many
people have been branded with bad publicity on both sides and lumped into
one group. That I know is not acceptable as you also feel the same way.
If people on this list can not except reality... Or face up to different
opinions than their own ( I am not branding anyone here) And move posts
into their trash can because it was sent in by Gary Brun the guy with the
If I didn't even have an MD would you still treat me the same way??
This whole thing is NOT about MD's, my ego, your ego or everybody else's
ego. Its about doing what is RIGHT.
Its about bringing out situations that are happening and that are causing
division between two communities/ organizations that need not be there. I
believe both sides have a honest interest in our nations heritage and
culture... But have different views of how to go about it.
Neither the detectorists or archaeologists have a given birth right to the
articles we are talking about protecting.
PLEASE; PLEASE; try and see this. Try and see that these posts that I make
are for good and not for the evil that people see into them.
I will tell you now... That I have gained a lot of information on this list
as to the "Huge Divisions" between these two different communities and it is
so tempting to make a documentary film on these divisions. Yes the average
Joe Blogs would love it, it could just be like a soap opera ... Even worse
than the "Thorn Birds" if any of you can remember that one.
So throw my posts into your spam, delete me without even reading what I have
But these problems are what the BRITARCH forum is about and it DOES EFFECT
our heritage in every way.
If people cant face up to that fact... Then its a very sad situation and one
that will not go away, I will not go away either unless I am banned from
the list. And I challenge anyone to say how I have disregard for
credibility of this list and the people involved.

Quoting Gary Brun <[log in to unmask]>:

No you aren't, or you wouldn't have done it. You've decided to lump all
archaeologists together because of what you think one person has done wrong.

Using the word hypocritical here is pretty ironic considering your comment
on your subject header.
I don't know anything about the issue that you raise, I'm just annoyed at
your header and your attempt to apologise for it. You didn't have to write
the header, you know, you could have written a header which focussed on the
alleged sins of the individual concerned. But you chose not to do that.
