The Freedom of Information Act: A Community of Practice Project, funded by
The Society of Archivists in partnership with CyMAL, is now underway. The
aim of this three-month project is to establish a foundation for a community
of practice for Freedom of Information issues for local authority archive
services, and other interested bodies, in Wales. Data will be collected in
the form of a ‘state of the nation’ survey to determine responses to
compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Results will be
published, providing detailed descriptions of current practice and anlysis
of where improvements, clarifications and issues resolution are required.
