W3C Web Ontology Language Tutorial for EU Grid Projects

A task of Technical Working Group T7 (Semantic Grid) in the Technical
Concertation activities of EU IST DG2 Complex Problem Solving on the
Grid Projects is Induction and Training.
To that end, the EU OntoGrid project has arranged for a two day
workshop and tutorial.
The tutorial will cover the recent World Wide Web Consortium Web Ontoogy
Language Standard OWL , and provide an introduction to the foundations
of ontology building and knowledge acquisition. The tutorial will be
hands-on using the latest state of the art ontology tools Protege-OWL.
It will be given in Manchester by a number of experts in the field.
Manchester are key leaders in the design and development of OWL.
Places are limited to no more than 15. Attendance at the tutorial is
targeted at members of IST Grid projects.
We are now opening up the final places to the UK e-Science programme.
There are a few places left so register now. Registration closes 14th
January 2005 (i.e. pretty short notice!)
