Agent Network Dynamics and Intelligence (ANDI'05)
June 13th-14th, 2005
The Kitakyushu International Conference Center, Kitakyushu city, Japan
The First International Workshop on Agent Network Dynamics and
Intelligence (ANDI'05) will be held as a part of the 19th Annual
Conference of The Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence (JSAI2005) .
Scope of workshop
Recently, the study of intelligence emerged from the behavior of many
simple agents, such as collective intelligence, group intelligence, and
Swarm-made architecture, become popular. A network structure made by the
agents plays an important role in these research areas.
On the other hand, recent studies have revealed that various networks
made by human beings, the most intelligent subsistence, have a
scale-free structure. This has suggested that some kind of network
structures, such as scale-free network and small-world network, are
desirable to the emergence of behavior or intelligence.
In multi-agent coordination problems, even if each the agent's structure
is homogeneous, the scale-free structures (for example, the structure of
the Internet and link structure of WWW) created by the agents' rational
behavior may generate intelligence and/or intelligent cooperation.
This workshop aims at the investigation of "network structures of agents",
"network structure made by agents", and "network structure and phenomena
made by the agents' rational behavior". And it focuses on "the
intelligence from the viewpoint of a network structure, and "the
intelligence emerged from the network."
