Development Officer - Scottish Earth Science Education Forum (SESEF)
£22,507 - £29,128 SESEF supports Earth science education in Scottish
schools in partnership with the Earth Science Education Unit (ESEU), the
Scottish Universities and public institutions. Based at the School of
Geosciences in association with the School of Education, you will work
with our partners, teachers and SESEF members to develop and manage the
delivery of professional development activities for teachers in
Scotland, and promote the Earth sciences in Scottish education.
You will be an Earth (or related) science graduate with excellent
communication skills, an ability to motivate others and work flexibly,
and have an interest in the teaching and communication of science.
The post is currently supported by Scottish Natural Heritage and the UK
Offshore Operators Association. This post is fixed-term for one year.

Development Officer - Distance
Learning in Earth System Science

We seek an imaginative, IT-literate earth/environmental science graduate
with enthusiasm for - and experience of - science education and
communication. Based in the School of GeoSciences, you will play a
central role in adapting, developing, marketing and delivering an
innovative introductory web-based distance learning course in earth
system science. You must have good organisational, writing and
communication skills, the ability to work both independently and with a
support team, and a basic knowledge of HTML/Javascript.
This post is fixed-term for two years.
