Dear Museum Computer Group members and subscribers to the MCG e-mail list,
I am delighted to announce that registration for this year's Museums Computer Group AGM and
Autumn meeting at National Museums, Liverpool is now open.
Please follow this link to book for the AGM and Autumn meeting
http://www.museumscomputergroup.org.uk/meetings.htm
The AGM and Autumn meeting will take place on Thursday 3rd November, 2005 in
the World Museum and the County Sessions House in Liverpool.
Confirmed speakers are Loyd Grossman, Chairman of Trustees, National Museums
Liverpool and the Liverpool Culture Company. Loyd is also famous as having presented 'MasterChef'
and 'Through the Keyhole'. We are also happy to confirm that Phil Redmond of 'Grange Hill',
'Brookside' and 'Hollyoaks' fame is speaking and Phil helped to establish
the International Centre for Digital Content (ICDC).
This year's Autumn meeting has an excellent programme of speakers from
National Museums Liverpool and includes an update on our sector from the mla .
Many members are planning to travel up to Liverpool on the 2nd November and
we are pleased to say that the Adelphi Hotel (http://www.britanniahotels.com/hotel_home.asp?page=45)
offers an excellent museums and galleries rate of £65.00 per person,
including breakfast, VAT and service. The Adelphi's booking line is
0845-838-0500, its a great historic hotel right in the centre of Liverpool,
only a few minutes walk from Liverpool Lime Street station and the World
Museum.
Carrying on the MCG's great social tradition we are holding a dinner on the evening of Wednesday 2nd November, please register for this via the booking form.
Please do forward this e-mail to any lists you are subscribed to or to colleagues who would be interested in attending the meeting.
I very much look forward to seeing you in Liverpool.
