THE CAUSE
The Career Development Group is currently supporting two projects in Africa:

Literacy and Basic Education (LABE), a non-governmental organisation in
Kampala, Uganda.
Tholimfundo Primary School, Soweto, South Africa, in desperate need of
books.

THE CHALLENGE
Between April and August 2005, Scottish Division are challenging you to
read 3 books either about Africa or by African writers. You could read
fiction or non-fiction titles; books for children, young people or adults;
poetry or plays; history or biography. You might choose printed books,
audio books, Braille or another format. We'll even provide you with a list
of reading suggestions!
We are asking you to sponsor yourself for £5. But you can donate more if
you want to!
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
All registered participants will be entered into a PRIZE DRAW to win one of
several prizes. The names of the lucky winners will be drawn in September.
FIRST PRIZE = £25 book token
There's also the chance to broaden and enrich your reading experience while
raising funds for projects that are making a difference to their local
communities in Africa.
