ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR LIBRARY AND INFORMATION STAFF
9 & 10 March 2005, London
This two-day workshop is designed for anybody new to working in a library or information
service and who does not hold a professional library qualification. It will cover the
core skills needed for library and information work.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Anybody who is new to library or information work, and anyone returning to library
and information work after a career break who would benefit from a refresher course.

This workshop covers basic skills and is not suitable for anyone with, or studying for, a professional library qualification.
WORKSHOP LEADER: KATHY RODDY
Kathy is a qualified librarian and information manager with considerable experience
of working in public, academic and specialist libraries. She also has senior management experience gained in the voluntary sector and for the past three years has been
a freelance trainer and consultant specialising in the LIS field.
