JOURNALS SALES EXECUTIVE –
Scandinavia/Northern Europe

The Journals Division of Taylor & Francis Group is pleased to advise it 
has an opportunity for a Journals Sales Executive to join its growing 
sales team.

Reporting to the Journals Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be 
responsible for driving online sales in academic libraries throughout 
Scandinavia and Northern Europe.  Ideally you should have at least two 
years’ sales or library experience, plus a good command of at least one 
other language from the territory in addition to fluent written and spoken 
English.

The position may be based in one of our offices in Milton Park, 
Oxfordshire, Stockholm, Sweden or Oslo, Norway.

Knowledge of the STM publishing industry would be advantageous, however 
full training will be provided.  

Responsibilities:

• Identify and research opportunities for growth with both university 
libraries and library consortia.
• Approach and promote online sales models to library customers and 
consortia.
• Attend library meetings and conferences throughout the territory.
• Work with the Sales Administrator to provide quotations and identify 
current level of business.
• Successfully negotiate and agree sales proposals.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key customers in a geographical 
territory.
• Produce regular reports on sales activity and development opportunities.

to prioritise tasks and the confidence to work under your own initiative, 
whilst also working well as part of a team.  You must be highly motivated
