*With apologies for cross posting*
A reminder that ALPSP is holding a one day seminar on Wednesday 2 February
in Oxford entitled:
E-only journals: is it time to drop print?
After a decade of online publishing of scholarly journals, print remains
very much part of the journal package. What are the obstacles to dropping
print? Is the need for print holding back open access journals and other
innovative business models? The speakers will review current trends and key
issues.
This seminar will be invaluable for publishers considering whether to drop
print journals (or to launch online-only ones), for society journal-owners,
and for librarians.
Speakers:
Mark Ware, Mark Ware Consulting Ltd (Chair)
Shaun Hobbs, CABI Publishing
Christine Fyfe, University of Leicester
Professor Finbarr Cotter, Barts and The London Medical School
Maggie Jones, Digital Preservation Coalition
Dr Jamie Humphrey, Royal Society of Chemistry
Dr Julian Richards, University of York
Vanessa Whitting, Blackwell Publishing
