Six months fixed term contract
Do you have experience in GIS and environmental indicators and would like to
make a significant difference to one of England’s finest landscapes? We have
an exciting opportunity for a South Downs Databank Officer to work at the
Sussex Downs Conservation Board’s headquarters in Ford. Working as part of
the Board’s Communications Team you will locate, secure and manage
information in the creation of a South Downs Databank. The role includes:
•contributing to the ongoing development of a South Downs Geographical
Information System;
•collection and collation of State of the South Downs indicators; and
•data collection to underpin the South Downs Management Plan.
To undertake this work you will need:
•HND/degree/equivalent work experience in GIS systems and environmental
indicators
•Project development and good organisational & administration skills
•ICT literacy including databases and ESRI GIS products
•Self motivation and a keen team player
