Hi,
the FEAT warning may result from a small FoV turning off BET automatically, for example. Also, the DOFs of the registration may be tuned down per default.
W/r to the conversion: if this is from numaris 4 / VA21C or beyond and a machine hooked up to a RIS/PACS system, then yes - I have seen similar warnings before (presumably because of adding additional information into the dicoms before sending them to the RIS?) but as far as I can tell the image conversion was just fine despite the warning. So you may not have to worry about it.
Cheers-
Andreas

Betreff: [FSL] (X)MedCon and FEAT Warning
Hi,
when I use MedCon for converting SIEMENS DICOM files into analyze
format, I get an error message:
"(X)MedCon-WARNING **: DICM Fix wrong unsigned pixel type" - but
nevertheless the convertion proceeds.
Then, when I set up my experiment in FEAT, I get the following message:
"Warning - have auto-set BET preprocessing option and/or registration
DoF on the basis of image fields-of-view; check setting."
However, the fMRI-Analysis works and the results are looking fine. Is
this all okay and is there anything I have to spend especcially attention?
Friedemann.
