When DEC took over the Fortran section of the Microsoft Languages
support forum in CompuServe, Steve was asked sarcastically "How much did
Microsoft pay you to fix their bugs?" He replied "We are not fixing
their bugs. We are replacing them with an entirely new set of bugs,
which we hope will be smaller." I thought that was the proper attitude
for a compiler vendor.
