We have started looking at Sharepoint for document management in the
college as well as interfacing this into Blackboard for students to
access document libraries of relevance to them.
Sharepoint has a great set of functions, but it's primary great feature
is the document library management and accessibility.

those who can't.

Subject: [BLACKBOARD-USERGROUP] BB Community Portal
At Dundee College we are making a case for moving to Enterprise and the
Community Portal. Has anyone had experience of going through the
evaluation process of making this upgrade (with the obvious benefits to
the students and the college of the latter) and also considering other
Student portal options such as Microsoft Sharepoint.
There are cost implications of maintenance in both options but I suspect
that the Blackboard off-the-shelf approach is a less labour intensive
option.
Any ideas and suggestions would be welcome.
