2005 CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT & CALL FOR PAPERS
The 19th annual meeting of ASSESS, the SPSS Users' Group, will take place on
Friday, 11th November 2005 in the Dept. of Health Sciences, University of York.
The committee welcomes contributions on SPSS-related topics from all
academic and professional fields, particularly describing case studies
(particularly in marketing and business), surveys, uses in teaching, advanced
analyses such as logistic regression and simple effects, examples of
syntax, handling messy data and experience using SPSS products/procedures.
Normally 30 minutes is allowed (including some time for questions). Speakers do
not pay the conference fee and may claim expenses.
If you would like to give a paper or run a "hands on" spss session or discussion
group (or even if you think you might but are not yet sure or would like to know
more), please contact the meeting organiser, Peter Watson (see below).

The Department of Health Sciences is in the Seebohm Rowntree Building on York
University campus located in Heslington, 2 miles to the south-east of the city
centre. It takes 10-15 minutes in a taxi from the railway station. Buses also
go to the University (See http://www.york.gov.uk/roads/bus/). University Parking

The meeting's open to all current users of SPSS and anyone interested in SPSS.
