Lectureship in Zooarchaeology

The School of Humanities is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Zooarchaeology
for a period of 11 months, from 1 September 2005. The successful applicant
will contribute to the teaching of the theoretical and methodological units
in Zooarchaeology and within other units of the Archaeology programmes at
both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Primary responsibilities of the post include:
* Coordinating and teaching two units forming part of the MA in
Osteoarchaeology, "Aims and Methods in Zooarchaeology" and "Bones in
Context: Human Animal Interactions"
* Coordinating the MA in Osteroarchaeology;
* Supervision of MA and UG dissertations;
* Contributing to the teaching, organisation and administration of the
undergraduate units in Archaeology;
* Organising and managing the Laboratory for Social Zooarchaeology
It is hoped to hold interviews during the week beginning 15th August 2005,
with the expected start date of 1st September 2005 or as soon as possible
thereafter.
